The Last Day begins

Hello dear, So what if we don't recognize each other tomorrow? After all, it's been several weeks.
I know you won't see this before you leave. I see that your flight leaves Geneva in just over 4 hours. I will be tracking the flights as you travel home. We are definitely looking forward to seeing you.
This morning I spent doing work and I ran home to see if Emily had put out the recycling and she had...Yea. So this afternoon I spent with Jeff and his family. I had a great ride on Jeff's motorcycle. You would have been concerned about me riding at 65 mile per hour without a helmet. But I lived dear and I promise I will never ride Jeff's motorcycle again.
So we traded in Jeff's motorcycle for a side by side atv and 2 four wheelers. Jeff is having motorcycle withdrawal. Helping Jeff took all afternoon. I hurried to Dad's and got him some dinner and then ran (literally) over to my dads for dinner. I coughed a lot. My lungs did not appreciate the shock of having to work so hard.
I jogged back home and my breathing is pretty close to normal. Dad is doing good and we watched a basketball game together. He's looking forward to seeing Mother.
Well, we will see you in about 22 hours.
Love ya,
KW

Memorial Day

Wow, Alta got 15 inches of new snow. Only a couple of days and you will return sunshine to my life and the rest of the state.
So this morning Emily and I spent cleaning house in preparation for your return. This afternoon Amanda headed home and we did not go hiking. With the rain and snow, no one seemed very excited about going.
Dad seems to be in very good spirits. His first comments were about it only being a couple of days until everyone returns. He has enjoyed visiting with Amanda & Katie during the weekend.
So I rode my bike to the cemetery and visited those who have passed on and honored those who have served our country. Dad and I watched a touching program about those who have served in the armed forces.
While I watched TV with Dad tonight, I worked on the wind chime that's been in your box for as long as I've been coming to your parents. I have no idea if I fixed it correctly because I have no idea what it looked like to begin with. So you can tell me how to change it when you get home.
Know that YOU are loved.

The Sabbath

Today is the Sabbath. During Sacrament meeting the Primary presidency was released along with Sister Bird as the music director. Sister Bird was called as the Primary president with Sister Norton as first counselor and Sister Whitaker as Secretary. The second counselor was not announced because this dear sister is currently out of town and has not been called. We should be announcing her name next week.
I took an allergy pill this morning and have been dragging all day. We do have a whole flock of Western Tangers checking out our bushes. They make me smile. It did rain for most of the day and I'm so looking forward to sunshine.
So I need to think of something to write that will make you laugh and smile. Hummm
Springville is getting ready for your return and are prepared to celebrate with a full week worth of events. They are calling it "Art City Days" and I'm glad that everyone is looking forward to your return. Your first activity will be the Family Fun Run on Saturday. You of course will be at the front on the course with everyone following you.
Good night my dear.....I'm brain dead.....

S*A*T*U*R*D*A*Y

I enjoyed sleeping in my own bed. I have also decided to apply for a million dollar grant from the federal government to study the comparison of when I sleep by myself vs sleeping with my sweetheart. It seems when I sleep by myself, the covers do not move so in the morning I just slide out of the bed and the covers are in place. When I'm with my sweetheart, the covers are all over the place. So I'm sure they will let me study why there is such a dramatic contrast.
So did I mention that I put the non-slip mats down under the entryway and now it won't slide.
Guess what...the Western Tanger's have returned and are checking out our bushes. I hope the bird real estate agent gives them a great deal.
I did go for a two hour bike ride today. I was afraid I'd forgotten how.
So outside feels like and smells like snow. Alta has 4 inches of new snow and the benches should have snow tomorrow. Just so you know, Wednesday should be in the 80's so don't let the stormy weather keep you from returning home. Will you come home if we promise to finally have spring when you get here?
Emily's party went okay. She seems a little disappointed with how it went. They were inside the house when I came in and asked Emily if she realized that it was starting to rain. She initially looked at me like "SO". Then the light in her head turned on. She had taken the patio furniture out onto the lawn and now it was getting wet. Everyone quickly got everything back on the patio. I smiled at her growth when someone asked why she cared about the furniture and Emily said she didn't want it to get ruined. It's nice that she takes ownership and responsibility.
So I cleaned out the shop today. We now have a work bench and floor. I also made something we could use with our food storage. I'll have to show you when you return.
Last, but not least. I balanced our accounts and paid myself. I still like being my own boss.
Well, good night by love. KW

Trying frantically

So I'm writing this blog at 6:30 instead of before I got to bed. Maybe this way, I'll have better grammar.
This morning Dad got up early and seemed to be pretty chipper. He didn't tell me until lunch time that there were phone calls in the night. One phone call at 2:18 and one at 3:04. It was a someone wanting to contact Mary. The call came from outside the USA and Dad had a hard time understanding the person. He couldn't get back to sleep because he was worried about all of you and concerned that he could not understand the person on the phone. That's why he got up so early, he wanted to check his email. He did take a long nap.
So I went into the kitchen sink and a dead wasp was in it belly up so even the wasps are dying without you. I'll try to hang on. Today, in an effort to get back in your good graces, I:
1. Noticed the furnace fan was on "on" instead of on "automatic" so I switched it
2. OPL says my sweetheart has 2 overdue books and so I had them renewed. I guess I didn't get my wish of zero books.
3. Watered the plants inside the house.
4. Reset the driveway lights.
5. Cleaned out the gutters around the house. Tell mother the one on the front porch still had a rag blocking it from when we moved the drain. I must have left it there.
6. I cut off dead branches from the trees in the yard.
Snowbird announced that it plans on still being open through July 4th. We are suppose to get more snow in the mountains this weekend and they are advertising skiing for Memorial Day. Come enjoy the fresh powder. I hope your return will bring sunshine.
Emily has been influenced by you. I came home today to find laundry out on the line. I know, with the cloudy sky's she is tempting fiat but no rain so far. She's having friends over tomorrow so the house is cleaned up. She's also having some girl issues and wishes you were here. Some things you just don't talk to your dad about.
Amanda & Joel are at Dad's and Katie will be watching him tomorrow. I hope the weather is nice enough to go for a hike or bike ride. I look forward to sleeping in my own bed. Good night, I'll just cuddle up with your bear.
Love ya,
KW

Day 9

It's been 9 days since I last beheld Sarah. Just a few more hours and we will be in the double digits...can I survive? Yesterday the rain left and today it was only cloudy, so has the rain left me too?
Today I tried to earn my keep, I really did. I took care of Dad and he seems to be doing great. He still sounded a little choked up when he mentioned Mother in his prayer tonight. I think he loves and misses her.
So this morning I pondered how to turn on the outside water since the valve is buried in dirt and so far down. It seemed to big of a challenge to dig it out. So I put on my thinking cap and it hit me...I drop home and retrieved the shop vac (Yes, I know. Sarah brought it to the marriage so give her the credit). Anyway, I stuck the hose down the hole and sucked up the dirt. It worked like a charm. The water is officially on.
Tonight while we watched TV, I restrung the bee lights from the porch and they work like a beacon beckoning you to come home. Mother, come see the bee lights. Sarah, come inspect them.
Also today the garage door started acting up and so I adjusted it. If it acts up again I may just have to pull out my hair.
So what if the smart people of the world are wrong. Maybe it only takes 14 days to create a new habit and not 21. They've told us 21 just to try to control us. Does that mean that at day 14, Sarah will no longer have the habit of loving me? I can't bear the thought. I will always remember you my love...now what color is your hear again?
Love ya,
KW

The pearly gates

Lets see, last Saturday was suppose to be the end of the world and has now been postponed until October 21st...So doesn't the scriptures say we will not know the day or the hour when He will come? I guess that preacher dude knows more than the Heavenly Father.
We have a big volcano erupting in Iceland that is cancelling flights in Europe...including Germany. And Joplin Missouri has been destroyed while we are waiting for the flood. All that is going on could make you depressed but today we had sunshine and no rain. YEA!! No depression here because today was pretty nice. I did mention to dad that at least we are high enough that we will have a little more time to build our arc.
Yesterday I was tired and didn't write. When you return, you may want to watch the finally of The Biggest Loser. NO, I DID NOT WIN. I am feeling like a bit of a loser without you here in my life, but somehow I will survive.
Tonight Dad and I had a garlic chicken alfredo pizza...mother's favorite. Dad has been working on his personal history and seems to be doing great. This past weekend the front door was plastered with cut out hearts that said "I Love You" & "We Love You" I'm guessing some primary class did it and I've kept the hearts to show you when you return.
I asked dad if he'd like fresh sheets on the bed and for me to do laundry and he won't let me. He looks forward to Mother taking care of him. He's happy that you should be returning in a week. He is also glad that you are having this time together.
Becky called tonight and she has appendicitis and is doing better. Joseph is taking care of her.
Okay, so my brain is shutting down...no surprise there. Night Night.
